July 12, 2016

It’s no surprise that Texans love Texas, and recent data from hotel search trivago.com confirms it – 7 of the 10 most searched US destinations for travelers from Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Houston, Lubbock and San Antonio are located in Texas.

See the full report HERE.

trivago also analyzed in-state travel behavior of users from Austin, Dallas, Lubbock, Houston and San Antonio and discovered that locals from each city are keeping a major secret from one another – some of their favorite Texan towns.

As illustrated in the chart above, Bastrop is popular with Austinites — followed closely by Buda — but neither town is on the radar of travelers from Dallas, Lubbock, Houston or San Antonio. Meanwhile, travelers from Dallas love Mesquite and Garland, and those from Lubbock are heading to Gainesville and Temple. Houstonites have been keeping Conroe top secret, while San Antonians are not sharing Port Isabel with fellow Texans.
