International Tax Specialist

That’s why it’s essential that our worldwide financial affairs are properly conducted with the help of an experienced tax specialist who knows their way around the world of tax and finance.

What you’ll do:

  • Handle all SEC tax reporting and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and related SOX controls.
  • Provide tax consultation for the internal trivago stakeholders with a particular focus on international tax.
  • Coordinate work streams with external consultants.
  • Manage the tax aspects of trivago’s foreign entities, assist in tax audits and coordinate tax risks worldwide.
  • Manage all transfer pricing matters at trivago group and support in the setup of new entities and structuring inter-company transactions.

What you’ll definitely need:

  • 5-6 years’ experience in international tax that has given you a superb understanding of international tax regulations.
  • A Master’s degree or Diploma in Taxation, Finance or Accounting.
  • An analytical mindset and an eye for detail that allows you to spot even the smallest of mistakes.
  • Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal, that allow you to interact with a wide variety of people and avoid misunderstandings.
  • A proactive work style that drives you to actively seek out new ways of approaching tasks.

  • Fluency in German.
