Product Manager – SEO

We’re looking for an experienced analytical product manager who’s passionate about SEO and wants to lead a talented cross-functional team of engineers, designers and data analysts. 

In this role, you’ll drive onsite SEO optimisation, feature development and performance monitoring, and contribute to an end-to-end SEO strategy for our hotel metasearch product on 55 localized platforms.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and organise a highly skilled cross-functional team of software engineers, designers and data analysts – and work together to discover and test solutions to complex hypothesis and data-driven problems that have high value for trivago.
  • Work with external and internal stakeholders to understand the highest potential SEO improvements and collaborate to bring this to
  • Work with your team to identify the best opportunities based on tradeoffs between potential value and implementation complexity.
  • Drive product management activities: prioritization with the team and stakeholders, requirements gathering, roadmap planning, building test plans for experiments and facilitating team ceremonies.
  • Break complex technical projects up into well-sequenced deliverables.

What you’ll definitely need:

  • 5 years’ experience in product development.
  • Experience in SEO performance measurement and onsite optimisation/feature development. 
  • Able to work on new projects that have not been attempted previously within trivago (ability to handle high uncertainty and create a clear structured approach to these topics).
  • Comfortable handling communication and leading discussions with external providers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You consider qualitative and quantitative data as the source that drives your decision making.
  • Natural collaboration, leadership and communication skills, with the ability to bring designers, software engineers, business stakeholders and external providers to a shared understanding and direction.
  • Ability to work independently and show great commitment and passion for what you do.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
