HR Specialist – Performance Management

How talents contribute to an organization is an important topic, directly impacting everyone working at trivago. That is why we’re looking for someone who can help us shape performance management (called contribution management internally) and with that acknowledge individual contribution and development. You will be successful in this role if you are interested in contribution management, you are able to easily understand concepts and make connections across to business strategy.

In this role, you’ll work hands-on with our existing tools for contribution management and you will have the freedom to ideate, optimise and develop fresh initiatives to recognise our talents for their value contribution. 

How you’ll make an impact: 

  • Develop, execute and continuously improve our contribution management process as an integral part of the overall talent development framework.
  • Educate talents on contribution concepts, including operational details and the philosophy behind it.
  • Oversee the set up of the tool, Small Improvements, for contribution management and other linked processes such as 1:1s, Praise, 360 Peer and Lead evaluation, individual goal setting and development goals.
  • Support the annual salary review process by ensuring that contribution related milestones, tools and messaging are aligned.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the Leadership and Talents & Culture teams to create and cultivate a culture of high performance and shape a meaningful talent experience.
  • Trend scouting / benchmarking on performance and talent management.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years experience in Human Resources with specialization in areas such as performance management, feedback, career Development or similar.
  • BA/BSc degree in economics, psychology, human resources or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Excellent communication skills that allow you to work cross-functionally, conveying your ideas with clarity and confidence to varied groups of stakeholders. 
  • Previous experience leading or implementing a company wide project, from ideation to completion.
  • Ability to understand the big picture, and seek out necessary information needed to make data based decisions, while still being able to deep dive into concepts. 
  • Excellent knowledge and capabilities in Microsoft Excel.
