Account Manager – Technical Partnerships Team

Our Technical Partnerships Team is looking for a pro-active talent with initial sales or account management experience to join our team and help maintain and expand our Technical Partnerships.

To enable partners to successfully drive campaigns on trivago, we want someone who can develop and maintain relationships with Technical Providers (Booking Engines, Channel Manager, GDS, PMS) whilst using their analytical minds to help optimize account performance.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Take ownership of maintaining and enhancing partnerships with relevant tech providers on trivago (e.g. Booking Engines, Channel Managers, Property Management systems etc.)
  • Be responsible for advertiser success by monitoring, optimizing and advising on KPIs and performance.
  • Keep the advertiser aware and informed about relevant trivago developments.
  • Demonstrate the value of new product initiatives ensuring buy-in from relevant advertisers.
  • Analyse and trouble shoot errors in the interface of the provider and trivago, and coordinate technical issues with cross-functional teams.
  • Carry out special projects and support assignments such as creation and production of sales materials, newsletter distribution and promotional activities.
  • Provide first line support to the Hotel Relations Sales Team and resolve provider issue’s and queries in a timely manner. 
  • Pull together regular project status and performance presentations for cross-functional reviews.

What we’re looking for:

  • 2-3 years experience in Sales, Account Management or Online Marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Tourism or Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills that allow you to engage people and make sure your message is understood.
  • Knowledge of hotel’s electronic distribution options and channel e.g. CRS, PMS, CM, GDS, IBEs.
  • The confidence and conviction necessary to proactively approach new contacts and successfully negotiate favorable terms.
  • Adaptability: you must embrace change in order to stay ahead in a fluid, rapidly moving work environment.
  • Fluency in English (our company language).

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience working in the travel industry or a thorough knowledge of the industry.
  • Fluency in additional languages would be a plus (preferably DE, IT or ES).
