Terms of Use for trivago Talent Pool

1. Scope and Services

The trivago Talent Pool is an online application system and management tool used by trivago N.V., Kesselstraße 5 – 7, 40221 Düsseldorf, Germany. The trivago Talent Pool is powered by Greenhouse Software, Inc., 18 W 18th Street, 9th Floor, New York, NY 10011, USA.

The access to and usage of the trivago Talent Pool are subject to the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully and only register at the trivago Talent Pool if you agree to these Terms.

The trivago Talent Pool enables you to fill out an application form and give personal information either with regard to a specific job application profile (“Job Application”) or, in general, with regard to any job vacancies occurring in the future (“Unsolicited Application”). By registration you will become part of the trivago Talent Pool. Only employees from trivago’s Talents & Organization department will have access to your profile as uploaded to trivago Talent Pool. They will then review your profile in the trivago Talent Pool and contact you directly for suitable career opportunities at trivago Group.

The usage of the trivago Talent Pool is free of charge and only requires a registration. No guarantee is given for the success of any application.

2. User Obligations

Only individuals are supposed to use the trivago Talent Pool. By using trivago Talent Pool you may provide information and personal data which are relevant for any job application. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data. The use of the trivago Talent Pool is at your own risk.

As a condition of your use of the trivago Talent Pool, you warrant that:

you are at least 18 years of age;
you possess the legal authority to create a binding legal obligation;
you will use the trivago Talent Pool in accordance with these Terms;
you will only use the trivago Talent Pool for your private use to apply for a new job;
all information supplied by you to our trivago Talent Pool is true, accurate, current and complete.
Any use that is immoral, violates the rights of others, or violates the laws is prohibited. trivago retains the right at its sole discretion to deny access to anyone to the trivago Talent Pool at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, for violation of these Terms.

3. Termination

trivago is entitled to close the trivago Talent Pool at any time. trivago will then inform you by email if your information and personal data are still stored in the trivago Talent Pool according to your consent.

4. Liability

trivago shall bear unlimited liability towards you for actions by trivago’s legal representative or a person used to perform an obligation of trivago in case of willful action, fraud or gross negligence, for personal injury to life, body or health, under the terms of the applicable Product Liability Act, and to the extent of any guarantee given by Producer in writing. Notwithstanding trivago’s unlimited liability pursuant to this Clause, trivago shall only be liable towards you in cases of minor negligence for breaches of material duties under these Terms, i.e. duties that must be fulfilled for the implementation of these Terms and your use of the trivago Talent Pool to be possible, and which you can generally rely upon as being complied with. trivago´s liability shall in this case be limited to the contract-typical damage foreseeable at the day of your registration to the Talent Pool.

5. Storage of Data and Privacy

Trivago believes in protecting your privacy. Your data will be stored in the trivago Talent Pool for six (6) months after the end of the process for Job Applications (hired or rejected) respectively two (2) years for Unsolicited Applications. By notifying trivago in writing (email to talentcommunity@trivago.com is sufficient) your data will be deleted anytime. 6. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

The current Terms when using trivago Talent Pool apply. As registered users you will receive a notification about changes by email. You may download and print the current Terms on your own computer system.

7. Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction

The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply. For individuals who do not have a general jurisdiction in Germany, Düsseldorf (Germany) applies as the place of jurisdiction. Otherwise the legal jurisdiction applies.
